01Work

The Work, and Why I Joined

What does your job involve?: I make mold components using sinker EDM and wire EDM machines.
What led you to join Nagatsu?: I studied the principles of electrical discharge in my graduation research, which got me interested in EDM.

02Rewards

What moments in your work have made you happy, moved you, or been fun?: When a part comes out to the target dimensions on the first try.
What has been hard in your work, or what are you struggling with now?: On a job with tight dimensional tolerances, I couldn't hit the dimensions and had to machine the part again and again.
In what ways do you feel you've grown through your work?: I've learned to prioritize my tasks and work through them in order.
What are your goals going forward?: To cut setup time and increase unattended running time so we can raise productivity.

What is the atmosphere like at the company?: I think it's a company that takes delivery deadlines seriously.
What do you find appealing about the company?: Everyone in the company works together.
What do you value most in your working life here?: I try to finish my work as quickly as I can.
What kind of person do you think would do well here?: I think meticulous people are a good fit.
